In 2006, Ryan began working for Goldman Sachs in their investment banking division, advising companies in the resources industry on mergers, acquisitions and capital raisings. In 2011 he joined fund manager Cooper Investors as a research analyst for the Australian Equities Fund, researching stocks in the resources and industrials industries. Ryan joined Greencape Capital in August 2014.
